I have been scouring the news reports too and pray that Christie and her family are all safe. I see the power is out in some areas so it clould be a while before she checks in.

On the news this morning they were saying that a lot of people in the Houston area were out of power and it could last for some weeks! I really hope Christie is fine. She turned off her computer last night while we were chating. I hope she will be able to check in this morning.

I know you 2 chat on the phone. I'm so worried about her. The hurricane coverage is all over my aussie news- they are saying 3 million people evacuated, loss of power etc. I hope God heard our prayers.

Does Christie have a cell phone? If so...try that number. My daughter also lives between Houston and Galveston. She has no power....landlines are not working but we just got through to each other through our cell phones.....Yeah Sprint! She said there is still a lot of rain and wind going on. She is busy trying to see what damage they have. Most of their neighbors have severe roof damage but she thinks theirs might not be too bad......or she hopes. I have a cousin in Baytown of which I have not heard from yet. She had to evacuate and not sure when they will let her come back.

So if Christie has a cell phone....see if you can get through that way to her.

Awwww, you all make me feel loved!!!!! Sorry none of you were able to get in touch with me but our phones weren't working. Everything is back to normal now, phones, power and internet!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!
