I took a class last night on Batik Embossing. Has anyone done this? I would love to see some samples. Jann

I've been looking around and I have had questions about this in the past...but can someone tell me the definition of "batik"?

Batik is a term for wax resist dyeing of fabric. In stamping, it is stamping the image in versamark or clear embossing ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Then you add the ink or dye over the embossing. Then you place newsprint over the embossed images and iron it, melting the embossing powder (it will be absorbed by the newsprint) leaving the image the same color as your original cardstock. White or cream cardstock or mulberry paper is best for this technique. Mulberry paper is most similar to fabric batik. I have a couple of examples I'll upload when I get a free moment.
