ha! gary & I went for a short ride today and look at what we saw! there was at least 20 of them. what do you call a big bunch of turkeys? a gaggle of turkeys? a flock of turkeys? turkey trott boogie?? lol
we saw a very big owl too, but i didn't gte a pic of that, I did call out to it..I went hoo hooo hoo..then for the rest of the ride the Who song "who are you" was stuck in my head..:skeptical:
10 years ago the turkey population in Maine was almost wiped out, so it's great to see so many healthy birds out & about

Would it be a flock?
I saw a mommy turkey with 2 little ones the other day.
As ugly as they are, those babies were cute.
What IS a bunch of turkeys called?
LOL

I had a wild turkey attack my car once. It was weird! It was crossing the road and I stopped my car so I wouldn't hit it. It walked right up to the car and started pecking at the front bumper.

Turkeys seem to be much more tame these days. My son and I were driving a dock in Ct where we could get the ferry to Long Island (where he lives) and there were turkeys along the driveway in--and this is in a large busy city. Kind of cool, eh?

We don't have wild turkeys here so we were really surprised to see one on our drive through New England last week. Not that many, but one!

No wild turkeys here either! Are they the kind you eat for Thanksgiving, or fatter farmed turkeys?
