I was not sure where to put this announcement, but here in the UK there is great excitement at the birth of Katherine and Williams new baby.:D
We now have three heirs to crown of the British Royal family, Charles, William and the NEW BABY!!:notworthy:
No name yet, but he was born on the 22ndJuly2013 and weighed in at 8pounds 6.
What a joyful occasion for us all!!!

To celebrate I am giving some blog candy for anyone guessing two of his names. Usually Royal babies are given quite a large number of names, so why not join in our celebrations and visit my blog

I bet things are really buzzing with excitement. Glad he didn't come at night as here in the media it said the Queen did not want to awaken so the announcement would have to wait until morning.

Yes, great excitement. I secretly was hoping for a girl and they could enact that new law about female throne succession. ;)

How about Prince George James of Cambridge - Nancy and I hope the Queen chooses his father to become
King of England.

There is news of little else here in Australia too. It's been the headline story. I like the idea of naming the baby "Spencer" to include Will's heritage ( memory of Princess Diana Spencer). Can't see it happening though.

Spencer was a name I picked, too. It is quite popular here as a little boy's name, lately.

Really, it should be his middle name, if not one of his 'other' names.

I was going to ask earlier today, before the name was announced- was there a reason why they waited to announce his name? You know they had to have their name picked out beforehand, most people do. It's not like new parents were going to go around for 2 days calling him cutie pie! I was bummed they didn't put Spence in there somehow.

I thought I heard William say they hadn't decided, but might be mistaken. Maybe they had to look and see whether or not he really looked like the names they picked. :) Fred and I had a couple of top picks but nothing definite until after both babies were born. I think I was just too superstitious.

I think the only one that got anywhere near close was Nancy!!

I would think they couldn't name him until the Queen say him first and I am sure had something to do with it. Royalty brings on a different set of rules I would think. - Nancy

I bet the only people that DO NOT favor Spencer as one of the child's names are "royals". That entire family story is a disaster. God bless this baby and his immediate family. I bet Kate would have loved Diana as a MIL!!!
