My sister is turning 40 this year and I need some help coming up with ideas. In the family we have had a few themed parties like 80's themes, tiki torches and fancy drinks, limo rides to casinos and such. But I am trying to come up with something we have not done. Any ideas???

My family and friends threw me a suprise 40th in my own home- now that was a suprise! "(is the toilet clean?"- I was thinking all night!!!)
I don't have any great ideas, but I just wanted to tell you how very special it feels to be suprised. Your sister will be on cloud nine for a long time afterwards. Let us know how it goes

You could celebrate 1967 the year she was born or the '40s which would be super fun.

Does she have any favorite tv shows, songs, or movies from her teen years? You could do one of those as a theme? How fun! DH will be 50 in June and is telling me I cannot throw him a party. I got him good on his 30th and 40th. Hmmmm - we'll see!

Let us know what you decide.

What about American Idol? You could have a karaoke machine and if anyone has a Playstation DDR (Dance Revolution) the adults love that as much as the kids (if the kids will give the adults a chance!).
