Where do you get your white cardstock? What weight do you use? I am almost out and was just wondering.

I usually get my white cardstock at M's. This week there on sale for 1.99 a pack. I think a pack is 50. Kim

Do you have a Stampin Up Demonstrator near you? I'm one but I'm in Virginia. We have very nice cardstock, including whisper white; other varying shades of white from mat (with flecks in it) to glossy. All (except shimmery and glossy) are acid free, lignin free and buffered...safe to use in scrapbooks.

All card stock comes in either 8 1/2 X 11 or 12 X 12; 80 lb. weight.

I use 110 pound carstock by International paper, I buy it at staples. Alsp walmart has 110 pound Georgia pacific cardstock, it'a about 7.00 for 100 sheets & it is strong! you can put some layers on this stuff & it still stands up.

I buy 110 Georga Pacific or Hammermil. Hammermil is coated and works pretty good with the Prismacolor pencils.

I used to only buy su for white and cream...
then i read the money saving posts about going to staples so thats where i go for mine too...
the other thing i do is walk it to the copy center and have them cut it in half for me. so if you get a 250 sheet pack of cream you end up with 500 cards or lots of cream pieces to stamp on.

My favorite is from Stamin' Up or Bazzil... I do buy others from craft stores... but maybe the office supply kind would work too.

I bought 110 lb the last time, 250 sheet HammerMill--I think at Staple's or Office Max--and I'm anal enough to have saved the end flap so I would know this.

SU and Brazzil are my favorites, but now with my friend mjbonoan and her new wings, I'm going to give TAC a try!! YAY!!! BTW, I hardly use white!

I also get the 110# at Sams. Its 250 sheets for under $10.00. I am an SU demo, and I get the rest of my CS from them. I love their CS, but have to take advantage of the savings on the white at Sams. HTH Glinda

It depends. I use Georgia Pacific 110 pound for card bases, but ONLY SU Whisper White or Very Vanilla for stamping surfaces. It's absolutely the BEST. Hmmm...am I becoming a SU cardstock snob??

~Deborah.

Nope, I'm not a rep either...just a satisfied stamper.

I get the 110# too, sometimes at Wal-mart or BL. I buy cards also with envies at Michaels when on sale. My fav is the 110#.
It does hold up well.

i use hammermill, but don't remember what weight. i love the cardstock, but it cuts crappy on almost all my trimmers. i prefer the way it stamps than su whisper white. i think that is kinda slick.

i'm a big fat liar! i don't use hammermill. i use lynx opaque by weyerhaeuser (that has the most vowels!!). the tag is gone, so i don't know what weight. i wanna say 80 but i could be lying again!!
