Freedom Salad
1 bunch romaine lettuce
1 bunch field greens
1 red onion, chopped
1 cup glazed pecans
sliced strawberries
1 cup blueberries
Poppyseed Dressing (found in refrigerated section of vegetables)
crumbled blue cheese (optional)
Toss greens together, add onion, fruit and cheese. Drizzle dressing right before serving. Sprinkle glazed pecans on top.
to glaze pecans:
1/2 stick butter, 1/2 c brown sugar
melt butter in saucepan and add brown sugar and pecans. Stir and simmer 5 minutes. Lay out on waxed paper to cool.

That is so different to anything I've seen before. I wonder if we hve poppyseed dressing here? Is it creamy, or like a vinigrette?

Thanks so much. We're out on the boat or I'd run to the store for the ingredients and make it for tonights dinner. I will make it for tomorrow - yummy! Tfs

I had to Google some of the ingredients
Romaine lettuce- we call Cos lettuce
field greens- we call mesclun, or spring lettuce mix
and we don't have a poppyseed dressing so I'd have to make my own, but I think it would be well worth it. I'm typing this into my computer (with translations) to remember in the summer. Thanks Cheri
