Thanks so much for all your wishes! Yes, it has been 35 to 40 below here since last Thursday. The extreme cold came much earlier than usual...and personnally I was not quite ready for it since some of my winter gear was packed away due to the remodel. But I got it together and I am fortunate that my house is nice and comfortably warm. Folks who choose to live here are rugged and don't let extreme temps stop them. But now that I'm 60 I am declaring that I will only go out as I want to on the 60th extreme weather day of the year LOL! As for today, I am extremely happy that the remodel is now moving along & things are already looking improved!
I am thankful to still have friends here despite not having been around for months...thanks for starting my day with lots of happy wishes!

JAN! I totally missed the boat that it was your birthday today! Glad to hear that you're surviving the extra cold temps up there in Fairbanks! We just got our first dusting of icy snow yesterday (3 inches) and temps in the mere 20's (above!)

I just can't believe you've turned 60!! I thought you were about my age (early 50's). Those cold temps 'preserve' us, I guess.

I can't stop looking at the two ALASKA Scrapbooks that I made! I loved my trip there SO MUCH! I want to return some day!

Just wanted to say many thanks again and let you know that indeedy I had a great day. The good news is that celebrating continues. We are having a potluck at the office today too. I got to pick the food theme and we are all bringing in favorite foods and a photo from our childhood. I am sure it will bring on some good conversation and laughs too.

Well - I haven't been around much either Jan, and I totally missed your birthday. I hope it was a great day, and it sounds like the celebrations are still going on.
We have very cold weather here today too, it's minus 18 with a strong wind chill, and I consider myself very fortunate in that I work at home - so no need to go out unless I want to. Stay warm Jan!
