I was going to ask earlier today, before the name was announced- was there a reason why they waited to announce his name? You know they had to have their name picked out beforehand, most people do. It's not like new parents were going to go around for 2 days calling him cutie pie! I was bummed they didn't put Spence in there somehow.

I thought I heard William say they hadn't decided, but might be mistaken. Maybe they had to look and see whether or not he really looked like the names they picked. Fred and I had a couple of top picks but nothing definite until after both babies were born. I think I was just too superstitious.

I would think they couldn't name him until the Queen say him first and I am sure had something to do with it. Royalty brings on a different set of rules I would think. - Nancy

I bet the only people that DO NOT favor Spencer as one of the child's names are "royals". That entire family story is a disaster. God bless this baby and his immediate family. I bet Kate would have loved Diana as a MIL!!!
