Reality Game Shows

I was just curious... with all the reality shows (America's Top Model, American Idol, Biggest Loser, Makeover Home Addition etc) and all the HGTV, TLC, A&E shows ( Landscapers Design, Room on a Dime, What Not to Wear, A Baby Story etc)...and all the game shows (Wheel of Fortune, Hollywood Squares, Price is Right etc).... Has anybody YOU know ever been on one of those shows?

I was just curious, cuz over the years they have to get contestants, people, cribs, homes etc from somewhere. I personally don't know anyone or had a conversation with anyone who knows someone...who's won a prize or even auditioned. Maybe it's living in the midwest.... But just wondering if anyone has a story?

I know a family whose son won $10,000 on America's Funnniest Home Videos. He was up on stage misbehaving while the pastor was speaking. (BTW he has grown up to be a wonderful young man who was goint to Guatemala on the missions trip with Jeremy)
