WOW! Thank you all for your support! I will post a swap tomorrow. And Joanne, thanks for the offer -- right now I'm only soliciting cards, but I'll let you know if they need more blankets! Those of us making the blankets purchase our own fleece -- I'm told if I buy the fleece at Joann's on sale they cost about $20 each. They have some fairly specific specs for the blankets. I've never made one, but I understand they are pretty easy and fun to make. Emily and I will make a couple of them at the marathon session.

They are incredibly easy to make. I made a HUGE one one year for my dad. He uses it on his full size bed. Two layers, with the shag cut at the ends and then I did a block stitch (that took up most of the time) around the sides. I think it took me 7 hours total. But they hold up so well!
I'm sure if you got into making them and came back looking for donations to do more, we'd all jump in on that too! What a great cause
