Sherry's recipe is very similar to how I make mine, only I use fat free half & half..you can';t tell the difference but your arteries can!
I like lots of black pepper and a little parsley in mine too.
now my mom & dad would start theres off with salt pork or a strip on bacon then cook the onions in the drippings, chop the bacon and add it in..so good. I also like to use choppped clams instead of baby whole clame, darn I may have to make some now
